MANSFIELD Triathlon Club's six-strong team swept the boards in their age categories at the Southwell Last Minute Triathlon with four podium placings.

The competition included a 400m swim, 20km bike ride and 5km run.

Steve Melhuish (56:51), Sally Hughes (1:00:26) and Sue Day (1:03:39) all won their age categories while Ian Conn came in second in his age category missing first place by only 25 seconds in a time of 56:12.

Lorraine Garvey was fifth in 1:14:10 with Sam Clarke sixth in 1:16:42.

Mansfield Tri Club's super junior Chris Dale did well at the prestigious Bala Triathlon. Clocking in 02:00:35, he was 22nd overall in a field of 706 finishers.
