Man walked into police station with drugs in his pockets
A HEAVY cannabis smoker admitted he had been stupid to walk into a police station with drugs in his pockets.
Kash Brookes turned up at the Bridewell in the city centre to be cautioned for possessing steroids, Nottingham Crown Court heard.

A police officer smelled cannabis on him and told him he was going to be searched for drugs, so Brookes saved them the trouble.
He pulled out £360 of cocaine and £280 of cannabis.
Recorder Shaun Smith QC said to Brookes: "You are a pretty stupid person, aren't you?"
The 19-year-old, from Southchurch Close, Clifton, agreed as he received a community order for two years.
The judge ordered Brookes to be supervised by the probation service for 18 months, imposed a curfew for four months and ordered him to do 200 hours of unpaid work.
Brookes had earlier admitted possession with intent to supply cannabis and cocaine.
He had no previous convictions – only the caution for possessing the steroids.
He had been a heavy smoker of cannabis but could not fund his habit and started dealing, the court heard.
Oliver Hunter, in mitigation, said: "To use your honour's words, he is very stupid. He did walk into a police station with it. He was challenged and was immediately cooperative."
He said Brookes was only intending to have the cocaine on him for about an hour on the day of the incident last December, before giving it to a man.
"It was an impulsive act," said Mr Hunter.
The judge said: "This offence was committed about eight months ago. Had you been sentenced eight months ago, the situation may have been different.
"But in the last eight months, your life appears to have completely changed.
"You are in a settled relationship, have a young daughter, a home and work opportunities.
"That suggests to me, if there is an opportunity for you to move forward, it is today."

“Just goes to show they do not call cannabis 'Dope' for nothing.
Now let me see if I have got this right. He may be turning his life around but he is 19 years old, has a daughter, a home and job opportunities.
Not working then - and no mention of whether he has kicked the habit. I hope his settled relationship is paying for his and his daughter's upkeep and not the state.
I think I lost that sort of optimism years ago.
As a suggestion perhaps Mr Brookes should change his surname to Mygiro.”
