Man dies following Mansfield road accident

A MAN has died following a road accident in Mansfield this morning.

The man was driving a silver Nissan Pixo Acenta when he was involved in a collision with a lorry at the junction of Cauldwell Road and the A611 Derby Road at around 9.10am.

He was taken to King's Mill Hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield but died a short while later.

The 45-year-old man driving the lorry has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in police custody.
