A MAN has been arrested after a robbery at McDonalds restaurant in Park Lane, Mansfield, in the early hours of today.

Police were called to the restaurant at about 4.50am after reports of a masked man breaking in using an axe.

A 52-year-old Mansfield man was arrested near Halfords about five minutes later, and will be questioned by detectives later today.

No one was hurt during the incident.
