Notts MPs have met with county council leaders to discuss budget cuts
The two hour behind-closed-doors meeting saw the politicians debate issues surrounding the plans to cut £33m from next year's budget, such as plans to privatise the council's residential care homes and axe things like voluntary transport schemes.
After the meeting Coun Cutts said: "I am very glad so many of Nottinghamshire's MPs accepted my invitation to today's meeting with me and my Cabinet members.
"As we work to meet the financial challenges that the council faces it is vital that we talk with politicians of all parties."
Gedling MP Vernon Coaker, Labour, said: "What I am worried about is the services that Notts people rely on.
"The cuts in the budget are changes which affect the most vulnerable people in our areas."
