Long Eaton beats Bingham as best place to live
BINGHAM has been named as one of the best locations to live in the Midlands - but Post readers say Long Eaton is the place to be.
The Sunday Times today named Bingham alongside the likes of Buxton, Derbyshire, and Leamington Spa, Warwickshire in its round-up of the most desirable spots in Britain.

Long Eaton has been voted by readers as the best place to live locally
The Notts town was praised by the paper for its "community strengths of a village" and "attractive and lively" town centre.
However in a poll running at thisisnottingham.co.uk, Long Eaton is currently out in front as the most popular place to put down roots locally.

“I grew up in LE and it was an OK place to be brought up. I admit that it seems unlikely that LE won this poll but I live in the USA now and it's no better or worse than living in LE (believe it or not ).
And to those moaning about the Power Station - what do you think happens when you switch onyour TV on or flick on your light switches? The electricity doesn't just appear out of thin air. Feel free to go somewhere and live off-grid if you feel that strongly about it.”

“You lot obviously don't live in LE, it quite rightly is the best place to live. I have traveled all around the world. America, Australia, New Zealand you name it I have been there. You can keep your exotic places, because when the sun shines in Long Eaton it certainly is the best place be.
"Sadly, Long Eaton is just next to a power station that belches out all day. If this ever went from the area the place would be half decent." WRONG! Its miles away and the wind blows in the opposite direction anyway. So please keep you sarcasm to yourselves. You may want to try Long Eaton for a while. You lot are a bunch of uneducated plonkers.
