TAKING the hot seat and performing live at the Rescue Rooms this week is rock band Levity. The outcome of their four years together is a sound that "drives like rock, is as infectious as electro and melodic as pop".
Watch James, Rich and Adam perform an acoustic version of their track Pause and chatting to This Is Live's Zoe Kirk.

What's with the band name?
There really isn't anything deep or meaningful behind it. Matt came up with the suggestion and we liked it.

James is a grunge guy, Rich is a bass player primarily so has many influences from bass heavy bands like the Chili Peppers and Faith No More, Adam is into indie and techno stuff and Matt primarily listens to drummers and session players.

James is an English teacher, Rich works with special needs kids at NCN, Matt is a mechanical estimator and Adam works at Morrissons!
Claims to fame?
James once met Azamat from Borat in his own sandwich shop in America. He was really cool and tested my knowledge of English swear words.
