This is Nottingham

CHATTING to This Is Live's Zoe Kirk on the Stealth sofa this week is singer-songwriter and student Dave Anderson. He plays acoustic folk with a blues influence, a sound that's common with his main influences Bon Iver, Fink, Jenny Wilson, Eddie Vedder and James Yuill.

Dave tells Zoe about his early start into music – with singing in the school choir, writing his own songs and buying his sister's guitar for the bargain price of £20 – a matter which is still causing some conflict.

His style hasn't changed too dramatically since he was 15. Although he no longer sings the songs he penned back then, he has maintained the simplicity in his music, never adding extra tracks or backing: "It's always been me and my guitar really."

Watch Dave being interviewed and performing his song, Find My Way.
