Letter: Who is cruellest

PAT Charman's letter "Stop this cruelty" ended with "Killing animals for fun has no place in a civilised society" and publicising an animal aid corporation.

Strange when it had just admitted that "about half of the released birds die before they can be gunned down. They perish from exposure, starvation, disease..."

The simple fact is that the UK is not, and has not been for centuries, "natural".

What wildlife there is only survives because of man.

And, as Pat has proved, wildlife suffers far more from nature than from man while individual animals – and whole species – survive better here when man intervenes to both breed and cull them.

But the animal libbers complain that keeping and feeding pets in the home is unnatural, then cause the animals they liberate to either die of starvation or decimate the local wildlife?

    “Wot?

    Mr Stupid's "Real" World?

That would be him and you.

    FW

    And MadBadger too.

    .

Oh, yes, and all the tram-spotters!

    .

    Oh, oh, nearly forgot:

All those people who think that most of the scientists in the world have seen the evidence for Global Warming:

When the Global Warming "scientists" won't allow anyone but themselves to see it!

    .

    Now I'm worried!

“It must be so difficult for you "Mr Mann" (not your real name). The whole world is against you all the time.

    I wonder why?”

    “And as for:

Curiously enough, B J, you said vertually the same thing in your first comment in response to that letter.

Ever heard of the word "spam"?

Of *COURSE* I "said vertually the same thing in" the letter submitted for publication.

In fact, I said *EXACTLY* the same thing, barring where it was edited down.

Have you ever heard the word "moron"?

You really, REALLY, *REALLY* are on another planet:

    Get help!

    “As for:

B J the difference is that that is an educational program, showing us about nature and how it works.

Rather than just shooting animals dead for the shear unadulterated fun of it!

Nature works by animals higher up the food chain killing those lower down.

Now, other animals might not feel and have emotions in the same way as humans do.

So what difference does it make if we kill them for fun?

Or, just like us, mother Nature might have programmed them and hard wired them to be attracted to, to enjoy, to do for fun, those things that preserve and promote the individual and the species.

Like drinking, eating, bonking, killing their prey.......

And made things that don't benefit us and them, like starving, celibacy, not fun.

So your point about humans doing as mother Nature intended, and not just killing animals, but killing them for fun was, exactly?

Or are you against Nature now that you realise what, exactly, it's all about?!

    “Errrmmmmmmmmmmmmm, Mr Stupid:

You are clearly reading a letter from a parallel planet.

Somewhere in the confines of your deluded mind.

The letter might well have mentioned dying from diseases that can spread as a result of the living conditions they are in from birth.

Which are *obviously* nothing to do with being in the wild.

Because that's *before* they are *released* into it.

But my point is, as stated in her letter.

    And quoted in mine
    :

That once they *ARE* *released* into the wild:

"about half of the *released* birds die *before* they can be gunned down. They perish from exposure, starvation, disease..."

Which bit of *released* *INTO* the *WILD* do you struggle with, you moron?!?!?!?!

    .

Stop wasting my time with your unhinged attempts at "debate".

    .

Or, more to the point, stop *lying* !

    “"Are Attenborough's wildlife programmes "entertainment"?"

B J the difference is that that is an educational program, showing us about nature and how it works.

Rather than just shooting animals dead for the shear unadulterated fun of it!

I have read the letter again.

It says quite clearly that the only reason they die before they are gunned down is because of the diseases that can spread as a result of the living conditions they are in from birth; nothing to do with being in the wild.

And those that are reared in these pens, by the rich, and having lived in those conditions then survive being sent out in to the wild have been reared just for the fun of shooting them down.

What an incredible waste of such lives!”

    “Errrmmmmmmmmmmmmm:

You don't think the writer said what, Mr Stupid?

    The first quote?

    Or the second?

And the whole point of my letter was to explain what is humane about it.

In fact, the whole point of my letter was to point out that the writer had herself actually pointed it out.

As for "entertainment", that, of course, depends on your definition of "entertainment"?

    Are Attenborough's wildlife programmes "entertainment"?

Or documentaries about indigenous peoples actually, shock, horror, killing their own meat?!

    .

And you wonder why I correct your name to Mr Stupid!

“I don't think the writer said that.

And frankly, what is humane about gunning animals down, and bringing children ETC along; seeing it as entertainment?

    Total and utter nonsense.”
