Letter: Parking charges
THE Evening Post announced (December 12) that car park charges in the borough of Gedling are to be "slashed", months after they were introduced in August, and subsequently abolished for the first half hour till Christmas.
The leader of Gedling Council, Coun Spencer is quoted as saying these reductions are "to limit the impact on the high street", after saying in February that the charging should not damage town centres.
I look forward to the next revelation, perhaps appropriate in this time of Advent?

“the shops can go to the wall, permit parking is the new buzz word and will rake in a fortune.”
