Tennis: Nottingham Castle have moved clear at the top of Division Four of the Notts LTA Ladies' Winter League following a home win against Sutton-in-Ashfield, who could be fighting against relegation this season.

Dawn Cartledge and Alison Gibson were the top couple winning 27 games, with Carolyn Park and Sally Killips contributing 26 games.

Farnsfield moved into second place, just ahead of Lady Bay A on games difference, also beating Sutton-in-Ashfield.

Sue Connor and Ros Rees won 23 games, which was matched by Sue Walker and Alice Connor.

Wollaton moved into second place in Division 5B, behind Retford, following a good win at Mansfield A.

Tamsin Mason and Anne Lowe were the top couple with 25 games, followed by Anita Bradley and Kate Denton with 23 games.

Attenborough B moved into second place in Division Seven, behind Mapperley Park, following a convincing win against Magdala C.

Attenborough produced a good all-round team performance with Vic Voce and Jane Bowden winning 29 games, Louise Aldred and Rhiannon Lee with 27 games and Helen Wicks and Alison Hammond with 25 games.
