The tanned presenter caused controversy by appearing in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! while representing the East Midlands.
Mr Kilroy-Silk, an independent MEP, was alleged to have spent more time in his Spanish home than pounding the streets of his East Midlands constituency.

A bottle of Champagne was offered by Tories to the first person to "spot him" in his constituency. "But it was never claimed," said Tory MEP Roger Helmer.
The only contact address he has in the UK is a PO Box in Buckinghamshire.
The Evening Post has repeatedly tried to contact him. When reached on his wife's phone, he ended the call after saying he was "not sure yet" whether he would stand.
Mr Helmer said of the European Parliament: "A large number of the new laws that affect people in the UK come out of this place.
It is terribly important that we have people who look at these laws and try to make them as reasonable as we possibly can."
