Stephen Ward’s move to the City Ground remains off despite Wolves accepting a second bid.

The Wolves defender has failed to agree personal terms with Nottingham Forest and will remain as a Wolves player, reports suggest.

Alex McLeish was disappointed with his side’s defensive display against Watford on Saturday and he is working hard to recruit a new defender.

Ward would bring vast experience to the Nottingham Forest dressing room having played for Wolves in the Premier League and his Country, Ireland, at international level.

    “Brinders,

Why can you not play Boyd on the wing and Reid in the centre, a bit like Maj ??? The strikers are crying out for a bit of service.

I think Ward would be good for us. He can play anywhere except in goal, just the wages again............!!!!!

Do we really need another striker ???? WE NEED TO INVEST IN A DEFENCE.

    You Reds.”

“its not surprising Ward turned us down he is on Prem wages and is not prepred to take a drop to 10K a week the same might apply to Burke who wants 20K.”

    “Redblood
Can Ward be worse than Collins? Desperately need a commanding leader in there who can bring it together and help Darlow feel confident about what is going on in front of him as he's very inexperienced despite his confidence.”

“All are uninspiring names of which none will make a real difference to our season; no real surprise with this manager though tells us we need steel and then looks to bring in planks. Roll on 11pm.”
