Ipswich team news: Mick McCarthy has confirmed that Luke Hyam will stand in for the injured Nigel Reo-Coker in the centre of the pitch against the Reds.

The midfielder picked up a hamstring injury as Ipswich were held to a 1-1 draw at home to fellow strugglers Peterborough on Saturday.

Guirane N'Daw will also feature in central midfield, even though he had to have stitches to a cut above his eye.

Striker Tyrone Barnett, who was not allowed to play against parent club Peterborough, could make his Ipswich debut.

Growing numbers of Ipswich fans are clamouring for Nottingham born keeper Scott Loach to replace Stephen Henderson, but are unlikely to get their wish tonight.

Ipswich: Henderson, Orr, Higginbotham, Smith, Cresswell, Hyam, N'Daw, Martin, Edwards, Chopra, Emmanuel-Thomas, Campbell, Murphy, Chambers, Mohsni, Loach, Hewitt, Barnett.

Forest team news: Striker Simon Cox will join Radi Majewski and Sam Hutchinson on the list of long-term injury problems at the City Ground.

The striker had an MRI scan yesterday to discover the seriousness of his ankle injury, which could see him sidelined until January.

Greg Halford also remains a doubt with a calf problem, while Jermaine Jenas (calf) and Andy Reid (hamstring) will undergo fitness tests, with Reid the more likely to recover.

Dexter Blackstock is likely to take Cox's place alongside Billy Sharp, with Robbie Findley to provide attacking cover on the bench.

Forest (from): Camp, Hutton, Ward, Collins, Harding, Gillett, Cohen, Guedioura, Lansbury, Sharp, Blackstock, Darlow, Ayala, Moloney, McGugan, Moussi, Coppinger, Jenas, Reid, Findley, Halford.

Danger man: DJ Campbell. The striker has netted in every other game since joining on loan from QPR, taking his tally to five so far.

He netted from the spot to earn a vital point against Peterborough on Saturday.

During a much-travelled career, Campbell has retained a scoring record of almost a goal every three games during spells with Stevenage, Birmingham, Leicester and Blackpool, among others.
