Interview: NG26
Since we last spoke you've toured with Girlschool! How was that?
It was a great experience. We certainly learned a lot from the girls because of their past experiences which they shared with us while we were on the tour bus. It was also a great learning curve because we learned a lot about the touring lifestyle. The final show of the tour was at The Garage in London, where we played to over 600 people and was an awesome experience. The girls themselves were individual characters but when they got together on stage they became a unit and this was quite inspiring to watch.

You've signed both a record label and publishing deal in the past year?
Yes we have. Both are great deals and for us in our current position well suited to what we want to achieve certainly for this year. The record deal is with Glasstone Records who are an up-and-coming label with a lot to offer in terms of promotion. The publishing deal is with Willow Songs Ltd and very exciting for us because it is a new avenue for the band to explore. It opens doors such as movie soundtracks.

You have a new single out this week. Tell us about that.
If We Fall Tonight is available to download from Amazon, iTunes, Play.com, etc. It's been described as "classic rock with a modern edge " which we think sells it really well.
The video was shot where? It doesn't look like Heanor...
The majority of it was in Portugal, although some of it was in Sheffield and at an airstrip in Nottingham. It was probably some of the most fun we've had together as a band, especially the Portugal footage where we basically flew out for a weekend to shoot.
And what about the next album. When is that due?
A second album is in the writing stage. Rest assured we will be doing a hell of a lot this year in terms of songwriting , promotional work , touring and recording and who knows maybe a couple more crazy videos.
On your travels do fans/other bands ask what NG26 means?
We get asked quite a lot about the name and what it stands for but generally people think its really cool. The younger fans are always curious as to know the true meaning of the name and how we arrived at it.
In May you take part in the RACPA festival. Tell us about that.
Rock Against Child Pornography and Abuse is a cause we really believe in. We're all super excited about doing this show because it's for a great cause and also there are some awesome local bands on the bill. It's at the Maze on May 4 and 5.
