Nottingham is one of only two venues outside London to host the twenty over world tournament which will feature a women's competition for the first time.
Four warm up games and eleven tournament matches will be played at Trent Bridge, including double-headers giving fans access to two matches on one ticket.
Tickets are selling fast, but you can be a part of the action for free with the Evening Post, in association with Trent Bridge who have made 20 pairs tickets available to Post readers over the next four weeks.
Fifty pairs of tickets will be given away every Wednesday, starting today, for four weeks.
Derek Brewer, Chief Executive of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, said: "It is absolutely fantastic for the city and county that the ICC World Twenty20 is coming here. These warm up matches are terrific opportunities for those new to the game and those who love it. It promises to be a festival of cricket.
"This ticket giveaway is a good chance for local people to join in with the fun and the action. For some people this will be the first time they have seen these world class players and it's a form of cricket that is accessible to all."
Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend the matches at Trent Bridge with local interest buoyed by the prospect of up to four Nottinghamshire players featuring in the 15-man England squad.
The event will bring a £10m boost to the city's economy and matches from Nottinghamshire will be watched worldwide by an audience of more than 500 million.
Up to 250 volunteers will be on duty in and around Nottingham to direct and help visitors and to assist at Trent Bridge during the tournament.
Sixteen countries will be represented in Nottingham during the tournament.
The organisers predict hotels, restaurants and bars will all benefit and cricket events are planned for young people throughout the county including a cricket roadshow in Market Square.
"It will be a special occasion for the whole region," said Mr Brewer.
