Injury concern for hurdler Turner
HUCKNALL'S world bronze medallist Andy Turner was last in the 60m hurdles at the Aviva International match in Glasgow and admitted he is still struggling with a long-standing Achilles injury.
Turner, who clocked 7.74secs, behind Russia's Konstantin Shabanov, said: "It's been killing me every time I run and when I land I can feel it."
The European and Commonwealth champion had a painkilling injection in the injury last year which had the desired effect, but he admitted similar recent treatment had not been successful and that he would undergo a scan today.
