Injunction against Meadows mum's deportation
A MUM-OF-TWO from The Meadows has had a temporary injunction placed against her deportation.
Selina Adda and her two children are being held at Yarl's Wood detention centre in Bedfordshire and were facing deportation today.
But campaigners have paid for a solicitor to fight Miss Adda's case and a temporary injunction has been put awarded.
Campaigner and friend Arthur Piper said: "So far, the lawyers that the residents paid for have managed to get an injunction on the deportation and we are now in the process of applying for bail for Selina and the kids.
"It's now almost certain that she won't be flying out today.
"The fight is far from over though."
Some 800 people have signed petitions against Miss Adda's deportation.
Miss Adda has lived in The Meadows for four years and her children attend school in Wilford.

“I could not be less racist. the fact she is here leaching off us hardworking people (this includes people of many many races) has nothing to do with what colour she or her children are. Out of my country and money back into MY pocket. this country forgets that we(the hardworking legal tax payer) still exist underneath all these illegal immigrants and benefits spongers.”

“Agreed Ian, If she is illegal then job done ! she should possibly go to prison, to deter others coming and send the kids back to the father to look after.”

“Perhaps the decision to deport was FAIR, NBW.
"Satisfied grounds to seek an injunction" can be a multitude of sins and not necessarily based upon facts. Strong doubts? That is usually solicitors throwing all sorts of mud & allegations at those trying to act in the best interests of the state, hoping that some sticks and causes confusion and doubt.
I'd like to know how she got here, why she came, what right she had and what we, as the tax payers, are coughing up for her to stay. I am all for legal immigrations and fully support those who seek asylum for legitimate reasons, but we do have too many who arrive here illegally and without good reason and we should stand up to this.”

“Unlike the aforementioned postee, I do understand that solicitors acting on her behalf, have satisfied grounds for obtaining an injunction. Such action, means that there strong doubts, associated with the Home Office deportation order. Immigrant or not, Selina Adda like anyone else in this country, is entitled to be treated fairly. If her solicitors can prove her right to stay in the UK., then she should not be deported. Contrary to what
Sarah from Nottingham thinks, or anyone else for that matter ..... I say, the decision makers must not only be fair, BUT BE SEEN TO BE FAIR!.
NO, I do not condone illegal immigration, but I do believe in being fair!!.”
