ILKESTON Rutland took a giant stride towards claiming the Premier Division championship by defeating leaders Brunts Old Boys 4-2. It was 1-1 at half time.

Sam Dilkes and Luke Slaney shared the goals for Rutland, while Brunts replied through Dave Voller and Ricky Bower.

Southwell St Marys II took advantage of a weary Trent Vineyard, who had been defeated in the Senior Cup Final two days earlier after extra time and penalties, by netting four goals without reply. Liam Wilkinson, Ollie Berman, Joey Fellows and Alex Berman got the goals.

In contrast Senior Cup winners Coronation netted six goals without reply from Steelers, who were hit by a Joe Parker hat-trick and singles from James Whitmore, Jake Goulding and Sean Taylor.

This was some consolation for Taylor who was dismissed after 65 minutes of the final which went to extra time with the scores level at 3-3 after James Prentice had given 'Coro' the lead.

Matt Lake's double and an own goal had ensured that the sides faced a penalty shoot-out, which Coronation won 4-3.

Beeston AFC II pulled back from 2-1 down at half-time against Team DNF to draw 2-2 after Craig Hessletine netted his second for Beeston.

Nottinghamshire II boosted their chances of avoiding the wooden spoon by defeating lowly Beeston OBA 4-1, while Woodborough United's hopes of claiming the title were not helped when they failed to cope with a rampant Calum Wilkinson who netted all four goals in Old Elizabethans' 4-1 victory.

Radcliffe Olympic III boosted their confidence in preparation for Thursday's Intermediate Cup final with a 2-1 victory over Wollaton III, thanks to goals from James Jackson and Neil Brumfitt.

Their opponents in the final, Division One leaders Nuthall Athletic, recorded a 5-1 victory over Bassingfield, thanks to a Conner Croft hat-trick.

Broadmeadows are now level on points with EMTEC after defeating them 3-2 thanks to Rob Deakin's hat-trick.

FC Interski failed to reply to a Mark Thomas double and a goal from Nottingham United II's Daniel Brooks leaving them five points adrift of the winners with four games in hand.

The top-two clash in Division Two saw leaders Eaton Hall College come out second best to Rainworth Rangers, who won 7-2.

Pinxton Rangers OB relied on Ashley Swain to score all three goals in their match with Cambridge Knights.

Old Bemrosians went down 4-1 to Nottingham United III following their 6-1 midweek defeat by third-placed AS Plant, who carried on their good work in defeating Chilwell Villa 2-0. Southwell St Marys III were helped by an own goal provided by Gedling Town United who were also hit by goals from Jake Bradder and Mike Gilbert. Town Mill went down 4-3 to Tibshelf Community II despite a Scott Cowlinshaw double and a Joe Lear goal.

Sherwood Colliery II, for the second time this season, scored a last-minute winner against Nottinghamshire IV, who went down 2-1.
