Hunt for three robbers who attacked teen in Carrington

POLICE are hunting three robbers who assaulted a 16-year-old boy and stole his mobile phone.

The boy was approached by the three men at around 9.20pm on Tuesday, December 4, as he waited at the bus stop outside a health centre in Sherwood Rise, Carrington.

They demanded he hand over his Blackberry Bold 9900 phone and hit him in the face before making off with it.

The victim suffered cuts and bruises to his face.

One of the robbers was Asian, between 17 and 20, around 5ft 9ins, of stocky build, and wore dark tracksuit-type clothing. The second offender was Asian or of mixed race, around 5ft 9ins, of slim build, with facial stubble, and wore a blue hooded top with the hood up.

The third man was a similar height as his accomplices and wore dark clothing.
