POLICE are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl and indecently exposed himself to a woman in a Bramcote field.

The man, who is aged between 30 and 40, was completely naked when he carried out the attacks in January.

In the most recent incident, he sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl in a field at the side of the A52, near Bramcote Leisure Centre, at around 6.50pm on Saturday, January 21.

And police believe the same man is responsible for an incident in the same field on Thursday, January 5, where a naked man approached a 21-year-old woman and carried out a lewd act.

The woman, who was on her way to the gym at the leisure centre at the time, said: “He got very close to me and was just a few metres away. I was disgusted and absolutely terrified about what he would do.

“I told him to go away and I ran to the leisure centre. I told staff what had happened and they called the police.”

The man was white, with very short brown hair, of slim build and around 5ft 10in.

In an earlier incident, which police believe may also be linked, a man sexually assaulted a woman on the number 4 bus between Nottingham city centre and Bramcote Leisure Centre at around 4.10pm, also on Thursday, January 5.

On this occasion, the attacker was wearing a black hooded jumper, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

DI Rob Severn, from the force’s Public Protection Unit, said: “We believe the same man has struck in the same place at least twice.

“He has been completely naked on both occasions and has approached lone females in an isolated field and in the most recent incident he has gone on to carry out a serious sexual assault on his victim.

“We have been carrying out extensive inquiries since these attacks came to light and now we are appealing to members of the public who may hold the key to the identity of the attacker.

“The circumstances of these attacks are very unusual and I am confidant someone must have seen something.”

Anyone with information should contact Notts Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
