Homeless project opens new base to help vulnerable
RALLY Homeless Project has opened the doors at its new base in Radford.
The project provides food and a mentoring service to vulnerable members of the community.
It has now moved to St Peters Hall in Hartley Road.
The project opens four evenings a week and provides hot meals, drinks, sleeping bags and clothing as well as a mentoring service.
It is staffed by more than 200 local volunteers who provide support and referrals to other services such as drug treatment, healthcare and employment.
The project is a partnership between three Nottingham churches and is administered by 58i, a Christian-based charity which exists to tackle root causes of poverty and exclusion in Nottingham and overseas.
Its aim is to connect with vulnerable and isolated people by meeting their immediate needs and then offering support and training to help them realise their full potential.
The project is open each week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm, Saturdays between 7pm and 8.30pm and Sundays from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
