A STUDENT who lost a leg in a hit-and-run accident is bidding for the Miss Nottingham crown.

Chloe Jones, 20, is determined not to let the amputation hold her back.

She said she wouldn't have entered the competition had it not been for the accident in Huntingdon Street on November 30.

Chloe, from Sneinton, said: "After I lost my leg I became aware how hard it is for disabled people to get their confidence back.

"I don't see why it should stop you from doing things."

She is believed to be the first disabled Miss Nottingham competitor.

“Exactly Chloe, that was my piont.

Good luck to you and I hope you get everything out of the competition that you are seeking.
I was not trying to be derogatory but some people on this site get very carried away emotionally.”

    “John,
I think you will find that there is only one negative comment on here. All the rest are very supportive. There are always the contrary types who have to kick against a trend. They think it displays individualism.”

“She is a very attractive and intelligent young lady who has shown that despite the fact she was/is severely injured by the coward that crashed his van into her,she holds no grudges and intends to live life to the full.
Can't believe some of the unjust and negative comments about her on this website, but like the coward that drove his van into her and left her,Nottingham is full of morons.
I wish her every success in life.
I wish her a long and healthy life full of joy.”
