Hello, hello hello, hundreds apply for 150 new police jobs
SEVERAL hundred applications have been made to join Notts Police since it began recruitment for the first time since 2010.
The force is taking on 150 new officers and hopeful applicants have just a few days left to apply.

More than 1,500 application packs have already been collected from Central, Mansfield, Worksop and Carlton police stations and more than 20,000 people have visited the jobs section of the Notts Police website.
HR spokeswoman Sharon Ault said: "We have been delighted by the level of interest in the campaign – demonstrated by such high numbers of telephone inquiries and website hits. A career with Nottinghamshire Police is an appealing one for many.

“Get rid of 150 experienced Officers, still undergoing appeal at Tribunal and then set on another 150 newcomers. Stupidity at its height. I notice the PCC is quiet on this issue!”
