NOTTINGHAM'S Dan Hardy is set to fight on UFC 99 in Germany.

Marcus Davis (16-4) has agreed to take on Hardy (21-6) at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne on June 13. It is the biggest indoor venue in the country with a capacity of 20,000 seats.

The heavy-handed Davis – a former professional boxer – is a former contestant on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 2. He boasts eight wins in 10 fights for the UFC, while Hardy is two for two.

The card for UFC 99 continues to come together with the addition of lightweights Terry Etim (12-2) and Justin Buchholz (8-2).

Meanwhile, local fighter Wayne Buck returns to MMA action at a training camp ahead of the big world-wide M-1 challenge.

Buck made a brief comeback at boxing on the EBF bill at Isis recently. He enjoyed the experience and may box again – along with brother Mark – if the opportunity presents itself.

"It was a great atmosphere at Isis," said Buck. "I hit him with a good right hand and it didn't hurt me. So, hopefully, the injury has healed OK.

"I've now got squad training coming up, along with Jimmy Wallhead, for the M-1 challenge in America in June. Ex-pro Mark Hobson is doing the boxing coaching.

"We were due to fight at the Playboy Mansion but I think we are somewhere in Kansas now instead..

"We fight in the UK in September and, hopefully, we will be good enough to make the semi-finals in Spain."

Two locals have been selected for the 9th season of the Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV on April 1.

The show pits eight welterweights and eight lightweights from the UK and the US against each other.

The Ultimate Fighter Season 9 Live Finale will take place on June 20 at the Pearl in Las Vegas.

Team Rough House stars Dean Amarasinghe and Andre Winner are in the UK team, which will be managed by Michael Bisping.

But there is no place for Jimmy Wallhead.

Paul Daley has a change of opponent for his March 29 show at the Britannia Hotel.

Daley was due to take on undefeated Tommy 'Scarface' Depret (17-0-0) on the mixed night of action which also features Brent Crawley, Tim Doyle and Tristain and Mahmood Besherate..

"I am now facing the fighter I fought at Royal Concert Hall in the Muay Thai King of the Ring," said Daley.

"But this time it's MMA rules. He was a tough guy and even complained at his loss last time round, so this should be exciting.

"I'm feeling good. My weight is good and I'm excited to fight for Nottingham.

"Tickets are going really well, the standard are more or less sold out, but we have the ringside seats left at £50."

VIP tables of eight are £600. Call 0115 9470055/07531232924.
