Hardy: Training, eating and sleeping in the Big Apple
GREETINGS to everyone in Nottingham from New York. The flight was good, there were no hassles with getting here. Now I am in the final push to get ready for March 27, for UFC 111 in Newark, New Jersey, and especially for UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre.
The big three part "Primetime" series which has been following myself and my opponent around 24/7 for the last month aired its first episode on ESPN on Saturday night.
The first episode was filmed in Nottingham. Did you catch it?
Now, you may be expecting me to tell you about what I am doing in New York.

But the boring truth is I am training, eating, sleeping and doing interviews.
That's it. I've got my striking coach, Steve Pap, with me and we are playing chess (I've yet to beat him, but he's been playing longer than me), we've watched a few movies and that's about as glamorous as it has gotten yet.
I am planning to go to Times Square. There's a huge poster of UFC 111 with me on it.
Having a billboard of myself, a lad from Nottingham, in such an iconic space as Times Square is pretty crazy when you think about it.
Something else which is pretty cool is that I'm driving from the hotel to the gyms in a ridiculously pimped up Cadillac Escalade.
It is the size of a warship and has more gadgets that Darth Vader's bathroom.
UFC President Dana White told me he was loaning me one when I got here. I have heard of them, but sitting in it was an experience. It is just a ridiculous machine, the ride of choice for gangsta rappers everywhere.
Also, I saw my last opponent, Mike Swick, has done a bit of a U-turn and is now saying I do deserve this title shot.
He explained when he made comments that I didn't, that he was still raw from losing to me in Manchester at UFC 105 and that he wasn't thinking.
I get it, losing sucks no matter who it is to and he missed out on a world title shot.
Mike's a very good dude. We like each other. It takes a lot to admit you were wrong in public and I wish Mike good luck with his surgery and know he'll come back from his recent setbacks.
UFC 111: GSP v Hardy will be LIVE on ESPN on March 27.
