Anyone for Giant Cockroach or Giant Rhino Beetle? Nottingham company host Comic Relief Bush Tucker Trial
GIANT cockroaches and the dreaded giant black rhino beetle were eaten at a Nottingham company last Friday, raising £1,500 for Comic Relief.
Chris Foster, Warrington branch manager at Connex Education, came to Notts to sample the creepy crawlies.

A Facebook group allowed staff and students at Nottingham schools to vote on the forfeit and a Bush Tucker Trial beat activities such as a custard pie in the face, a man verses food competition or a dance off.
“I was a little worried,” said Chris. “We expected the dance off to be the most popular, we were not expecting to eat deep fried critters!

“The beetle was the worst thing. It was big, fat, black and horned!”
Craig McFadyen, who works closely with schools across the Nottingham region, also took on a series of forfeits to help raise more money, including working with his feet in a baked bean filled bowl.
“It was really funny,” Craig said. “Different forfeits were put into a bowl and everyone had a chance to pull one out and nominate someone to take on the forfeit. We could even vote for other colleagues in other offices.”
