CARL Froch's SuperSix fight with Arthur Abraham has been put back until September.

It was scheduled for August, but Froch needs time for his cuts to heal. He also needs treatment for eye and ear trouble.

And there is a still a fight going on behind the scenes regarding the venue.

Froch insists he wants the fight in Nottingham – hopefully at a football stadium.

Abraham wants it in Germany where it would attract a full house of his supporters.

But, following Froch's recent threat to pull out of the tournament, promoters Sauerland said they would agree to a neutral venue. Switzerland has been mentioned, but Froch is hardly likely to agree to that.

Newark's Esham Pickering faces formidable opposition in the Prizefighter tournament at the York Hall on May 29.

Former world champion Wayne McCulloch has been invited to take part, along with Mark Moran, Josh Wale and Martin Powers.
