NOTTINGHAM Forest and Derby County have both been fined £45,000 for failing to control their players.

The two sets of players clashed towards the end of January's match at Pride Park, which the Rams won 1-0.

Both clubs accepted the charge and were each fined £35,000 and warned as to their future conduct. A further £10,000 suspended penalty imposed for a similar case between the two clubs earlier in the season was also activated.

Forest's chief executive Mark Arthur said: "We are surprised at the severity of the fine that has been imposed. We will study the FA's written report before deciding whether or not to appeal."

“It will be interesting to see the size of Derby's fine for the Swansea brawl. The comments made by their manager and captain will probably increase it further.”

“Nigel is desperately seeking a Goalkeeper for Saturday;s game against Doncaster, If i was him I would desperately try and seek out four defenders, midfielders and a couple of strikers to boot, because in all honesty they really are shocking. As for lilly why not have a go for Mr cheap as chips David Dickinson, with his perma tan and hand crafted artificially coloured hair he would surely be the ideal replacement and give a more youthfull look to the midfield?”

“It amazes me that sheep come on here going on like £45k would dent our transfer budget!

Coming from sheep, who have had to resort to loans and out of favour lower league players!

Our home gate receipts will easily cover this £45k.

It will take derby 2 home games to cover this fine.”

“Does anyone know of any decent goalkeepers only we in the crap and need one sharpish. Pelican head may have to do but his nose sticks in the ground when he dives.

Applications to the one and only Nigel Sir Clough, best manager DC ever had taking them into division one.

    Prik Park
