Forest boss Davies keeps feet firmly on the ground
NOTTINGHAM Forest boss Billy Davies is keeping his feet firmly on the ground despite seeing the side pick up their fourth straight win against Plymouth Argyle.
Forest eased away from the Coca-Cola Championship relegation zone after goals from Robert Earnshaw and Paul Anderson earned them a 2-0 win.

Davies said: "I could not have asked for a better start but we're certainly not getting carried away with it.
"When I arrived the aim was to make this football club safe in the Championship this season – and that's still the aim.
"I've had a great response from the players and they have been a joy to work with. They showed a lot of discipline and energy in their play and the only disappointment was that we gave the ball away too easily in the second half.
"But we will work on that in training next week because there is a long way to go and a lot of hard work to be done. The important thing is that we have got three fantastic points against a well organised side."
Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock is worried at his sides lack of firepower.
He said: "We don't know where the next goal is coming from and it is putting a lot of pressure on us defensively.
"I believe there are players in the squad capable of getting the goals we need but at the moment they appear to be playing mind games with themselves.
"We've taken one point from five games and that is relegation material but we now have ten days before the next match to sort ourselves out and get back to what we were doing earlier in the season.
"It was always going to be a hard season for us but we now have an opportunity to regroup and there's also an opportunity for players on the periphery to show that they are the men for the job."

“Well done Billy and the new management team for spotting what the Trent Lower tier experts have been saying for weeks. 1. Play players in their best positions. 2. keep a settled team. 3. Keep substitutions simple. 4. Keep attacking till the end.
What a joy to watch the all out endeavour and skill of the new born reds.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed being at the CG for the Plymouth game. I thought Wes Morgan was absolutely brilliant, well done Wes, you're welcome on the yacht any time!
Other observations on two players:
1) Tyson's miss in front of the Trent End with c. 15 mins to go was typical of him: I think he's great and a definite 'first name of the teamsheet' type, but he's never going to be a 20-goals-a-season striker. Maybe best play him on the left-wing, to allow Garner and Earnshaw to play up front? And move the excellent Cohen into the middle.
2) Anderson: like him, works hard, etc, but he has not got as much pace as a Premiership winger would need. He never really 'rounded' his man, despite having space to have a go at doing so a few times, etc. Don't think he's got much of a future at Liverpool! I heard him on Radio Nottm afterwards and he sounded really engaged with his Forest career: I think we should try and sign him as soon as we can. He's a local lad, he admitted himself, etc.”

“lmao! same here....but what I would have said if I were sober last night, would have been "another 3 points - I could get used to this!". Come on Billy, use some of that experience and nouse to outfox junior clough on friday.......another defeat would put them on a right downer, and even though its a cup match, it could well go a long way towards affecting them in the league. As CC said about the game against Southampton not long ago, "if we go there and beat them, it will crush them psychologically". Same applies here. Lets do um.”
