Forest boss Davies hits back at boo-boys
BILLY Davies today questioned the 'lack of respect' he was shown by Nottingham Forest fans at Doncaster – and appealed for people to judge him at the end of the season.
Sections of the 3,000-plus travelling support at the Keepmoat Stadium jeered the Scots' substitutions during the 1-0 defeat.

Billy Davies
The Reds boss, who left both top scorers Dexter Blackstock and Robert Earnshaw out of the starting line-up, said he would continue to make tough decisions as he seeks to get the club's promotion push back on track.
And he said he wanted to be judged on his decision-making when the season comes to an end – not during games.
"This was a little bit sad; a little bit disappointing for me. But that is modern football. That is the type of respect you get in modern football," he said.
"I don't care. I don't care whether people have faith. I will never change. I said before that this team is not ready for the Premier League.
"Do people think I am a fool?
"People need to remember the only reason Forest are playing Championship football this season is because of the job that Billy Davies did last season, to save this club from relegation.
"Great credit has to be given for that. We now find ourselves in the Championship, with 14 games left, and we are in the top three. End of story.
"The fans are what they are, it is up to them. There are positives and negatives coming all the time and it is about how you stay together as a team, as a club.
"It is about how you keep that positive energy. At the end of the day, that is why you have great supporters and average supporters at different clubs.
"Great supporters know how to stay behind players through thick and thin; they know how to stay behind the manager through thick and thin.
"They understand what a great job is being done and that great credit has to be given for that.
"Sometimes that happens at clubs, sometimes it doesn't."

“brian naylor
firstly, he went to the game (so he says) not to get fish and chips.
secondly, my whole argument, was that permission is not needed to boo (so your attack on me is constructed from superfluous opinion) so how could you interpret my remarks as permission granting.
thirdly, how can one attack another by stating the law.
fourthly he is a liar and so are you. he is not a solicitor, nor are you.
finally, to anyone who doubts the legality of what i have said may check it themselves, it's easy; just infringes anothers human rights and when the police come you can say "the human rights act doesn't apply to me, as i'm not a public body".
see what happens- i fear however you'll be trying on their nice, shiny, silver bracelets.
an act of parliament must be OBEYED by everyone. EVERYONE.
END OF.
i'm really sorry to the people who have been offended by my post.”

“just so i'm clear, my argument was that anyone can boo. it's an expression of emotion. that was my point.
as you can see (from his lack of reply) thommo has backed off because he now realises he is wrong.
the mp thing was to contexualise my point. if you want an opinion on anything, one must respect another's also. it's not a political point.
keep up the good work boys.”

“Redweaver and Thommo are both going at it tooth and nail - but neither get it right. As we are the fans who pay up week after week to see rubbish games then we have the full right to Boo at Billy if we want to.
You only have to look at the picture of Billy D at the top of this page to see the real Billy, (he is a very nasty man), when he has things going against him or he can't get his own way, spiteful and so self centered is what he is, if the truth is known.
Come on you Reds

“As long as Billy Davis is at our club we will be plagued by troubles, both on the pitch and off, so let us not forget that fact. Loyalty! most of us wonder if Billy knows what it is!!
And Billy we WILL continue to boo if we feel it is justified
to do so, after all we are the ones who pay your salary!!!
Just try and do your best for us and get things right, then we will have no reason to boo you.”

“Red weaver,
Having the right to boo or have freedom of speech does not make your judgement correct or well advised.
What MP`s expenses have to do with this I have no idea and it totally irrelevant, and I dont see how you dont see that? An MP buying a duck house or whatever is blatantly disgracefull behaviour and should be an illegal use of tax payers money. Its obviously unnecessary. Billy davies use of a substition is totally subjective opinion with regards to management of the game. Something you, or I, are not able to judge on, anywhere near the extent of Billy (for example, Dexter saying he wanted the rest) Did Dexter tell you different, of course not. Putting the two in the same sentance has just made me laugh even reading it. In fact, I have just wasted 2 minutes of my life writing this response!”

you tried to be a lawyer (by adapting what i said to what you wanted to argue against) but you've come up short.”

“Dear Redweaver,
If you require formal legal advice, please consult your own solicitor. My charge out rate is £375 per hour plus VAT and disbursements. If that is acceptable, please let me know and provide me with your contact details.
Off to the game now so I look forward to hearing from you later.
Your reds.
Thommo”
