Firefighters tackle city centre blaze

FIREFIGHTERS have this morning being tackling a blaze in the city centre.

Four engines from Central, Arnold and Carlton fire stations attended the incident at the Bowman Telephone Exchange in Bath Street, at about 10.50am.

A Notts Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the small electrical fire had been caused by an overheated lift motor.

No one was injured.

    “Thats not right the fire fighters going and putting out the fire all them poor students you had to wake up from a long weekend of drinking the tax payers money up the wall how could you do that now that means they couldn't wake up tonight to go and get hammered again tonight”
