Long Eaton Health Centre is increasing its services with a new X-ray unit and outpatient clinics for trauma and orthopaedic patients, and people with heart and breathing problems.

Angela Potter, of Derby Hospitals NHS Trust, said: "Patients can now choose to have many of their follow-up appointments at this centre, which is more convenient for many patients."

Tracy Allen, of the county's primary care trust, said: "More patients in the area will have the choice of accessing these vital services closer to their homes."
