Exclusive Carl Froch column: Don’t miss out on fight of the year
WELL folks, the date and destination is all set for my big Super Six tournament showdown with 'King' Abraham.
It's now been confirmed that it will go ahead at the neutral destination of the E'Space stadium in Monaco on Saturday October 2.

It was originally down to a toss up between Ireland and Monaco. I've got to admit the more I think about it being held on the coast of the Mediterranean, the more I like the sound of it.
While the MCH in Herning was a great venue, a few of you said it was cold and a bit lacking in stuff to do.
Boy, will those people be surprised with Monaco.
The average temperature will still be a comfortable 20 degrees in the day. Pretty much like our summer, but without the clouds.
My brother has found plenty of flights to Nice airport are available most days from East Midlands and the rest of the country's airports from about £75 return.
Monaco is a bit of a jet set community, awash with bling.
It's not out of the ordinary to see three or four Ferraris parked along the side roads of the port area, which harbours a few million dollar Abramovich-style yachts, complete with private helicopters parked on the top.
There's plenty of beaches, bars and their legendary casino.
That said, hotels over there start from just £60 a night so there are rooms available to suit all budgets of boxing fans.
A few people have said Nice has plenty of Irish bars and places to hang out too and is about 25 minutes away from Monaco by car, but pretty much next to the airport for those weighing up that idea.
I'm expecting a small army of boxing fans to be heading over to what promises to not only be a cracking weekend among fellow fans – but also potentially another fight of the year candidate which the whole boxing world will be tuning into.
Monaco's population is only about 32,000. Obviously there are always tourists there on top of that. The venue holds about 4,000 people so it will be really amazing for those that make it over, to see such a barnstorming fight in an intimate venue like the E'Space in Fontvieille port, which is about half a mile from the main casino.
Wheras the Dirrell fight lacked the excitement of my usual fights, the Kessler fight delivered it in spades.
Unfortunately the judging didn't go my way that night. But against Abraham we're gonna have the right blend of excitement for the fans plus the win in the bag.
I'm a bigger puncher than Dirrell and won't let Arthur off the hook nor coast to a points win. I will make him wilt under the punches that I'll rain down on him.
I'm already ticking over in the gym and will put the foot down at my training camp in Sheffield in August to ensure I'm at the peak of my powers, before heading out there the week before the fight.
Touch wood, we'll have no injuries or ash clouds, date changes and expectant mums to lose focus over for this fight!
Baby Rocco has been a big driving factor for me since the little bundle of fun arrived.
Lots of media and social events in my diary have been knocked on the head.
My time is now divided strictly between training and my family, with the odd game of snooker. So Abraham better watch out!
All the best, Carl Froch.

“@Lee, Carlton
Last fight a joke? Are you dumb, that was a great fight! No disgrace in that loss.”

“Looking forward to it already. Glad to hear Carl's dropped the matey routine with Arthur. Not too sure about these sheffield training camps though. Should head back out to ireland to do it. Boring maybe, but no distractions, and Carl looked awesomely fit anytime he trained out there. I dont think he's looked the same fighter since he started training in sheffield. Honest opinion.”

“Here we go again. What's your excuse gonna be this time? Judges, or you went into the fight with a damaged ear again, hand or a headache. Last fight was a total joke, the last few not much better.”
