"Evil" Bulwell woman's child abuse
A BULWELL woman who was part of an internet child sex ring has been condemned as "truly evil".
Angela Allen was one of three paedophiles who yesterday admitted abusing children and distributing indecent images of them online.
Bristol Crown Court heard she had also sent invitations to people to rape a child.
Detective Superintendent Adrian Pearson, head of Notts Police's Public Protection Unit, said: "It's important to recognise the sinister and evil nature of Angela Allen.
"She shed not one tear in custody. She showed no remorse for her actions.
"She was the most graphic of the three suspects we have dealt with. Angela Allen is truly evil."
Neighbours of Allen were so disgusted they wanted to petrol bomb her house, in Nine Acre Gardens, according to Lee Wells, who lived next door.
"Others wanted to grab hold of her," he added. "You do not want it happening around your area."
Allen's old house now has grey metal grills over the windows and doors.
Tracey Edwards, 37, said: "She's not welcome back here. Things like this make me feel sick."
Allen, 39, was snared along with Vanessa George and Colin Blanchard after a complex probe involving detectives in Notts, Greater Manchester, Devon and Cornwall. The trio met on social networking website Facebook but had never met in real life.
As the investigation continued, police discovered the trio had exchanged thousands of texts and dozens of emails, goading each other to commit more depraved acts.
The public gallery at court was packed with around 30 emotional parents who wept as the guilty pleas were entered. As the trio were led to the cells, the victims' relatives remained relatively calm.
The judge adjourned the case, provisionally scheduling sentencing for November 13.

“j - you clearly hold your opinion and I hold mine. It would be interesting to see how the british public would ever vote for the return of the death penaly. A close call, and not as clear cut as you think it would be. As for your challange to my own comments, no I really don't believe that someone like Allen gave any thought to the crime punishment she may have recieved if she was ever caught, because a suitable deterrant is not in the justice sytem at the moment and until something far more appropriate is, that signal will never go out to would be offenders. The only viable alternative to capital punishment has to be life imprisonment....but life has to mean life, no possibility of parole.”

“I would have thought that it would be blindingly obvious to everyone (except j) that someone who is deceased, dead, snuffed it, no longer breathing and shuffled off this mortal coil would be incapable of re-offending. No need to study the concept. It's rather obvious and final.”
