ORGANISERS co-ordinated the protest using text messages and social networking site Twitter.

Notts Police also provided updates on Operation Median through its own Twitter feed. The drama of the protest was captured in the following "tweets":

11.03am – Notts Police: Update – ten arrested http://tinyurl.com/yjtywxm

12.53pm – Climate Camp: Fences down on east side of Ratcliffe — go go go! The best attack is a good de-fence...

12.54pm – Climate Camp: None of the fences electrified! 2 down, 1 to go! De-fence! De-fence!

1.05pm – Notts Police: Police advise that protesters should move away from the fences, they will not be allowed to enter the site but are free to move away.

6.13pm – Climate Camp: Police have promised a change in tactics for protestors who stay on tonight. #swoop bring it on. Climate change is more scary.
