Eastwood and Ilkeston swoop for signings
TENACIOUS central midfielder Paul Dempsey has become Ilkeston Town's second summer signing.
The former Hucknall Town and Worksop Town player has agreed a one-year deal, following striker Gary Ricketts into the New Manor Ground.
Dempsey, 27, began his career at Sheffield United before moving to Northampton and has also played in Australia.
"He has played at this level for a long time now and knows what it's all about," said manager Kevin Wilson.
Wilson is in talks with Anthony Church and is optimistic he will stay.
But Simon Harrison and Danny Sleath are set to leave after failing to agree terms.
Eastwood boss Paul Cox believes new signings David Brown and Emeka Nwadike will give their rivals problems next season.
Former Forest trainee Brown, 20, has signed from AFC Halifax Town while Nwadike joins from FC Telford United. Both are on one-year deals.
Cox said: "David has blistering pace and can play on either wing. He could play in the Football League in the future.
"Emeka can get box to box and score goals and will have physical presence."
