A DRIVER had to be cut from his car after a crash near Calverton.

Police were called to the A60 near Calverton at 8.14am today after a crash between a Fiat Ibiza and a Volkswagen Golf.

The crash occurred between Burnt Stump Hill and the A614 Ollerton Road, and one of the drivers, thought to have been in the Fiat, was cut from his vehicle.

He was then taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre, and was being treated for suspected spinal injuries.
