Dogs sniff out fake cigarettes
SNIFFER dogs have been brought in to tackle counterfeit cigarettes in Notts.
It is the first time they have been used in the war on black market sales.
The dogs discovered fake cigarettes hidden inside two vacuum cleaners at a shop during raids by Notts Trading Standards and HM Revenue and Customs this week.
Officers visited five stores – three in Ashfield and two in the borough of Gedling – after receiving tip-offs.
