The plans include six grandstands with a total of 67,890 seats.

There is also a club house, suites for spectators around the track, a medical centre, a media centre, pits and paddocks buildings and new toilets. The race track could attract 240,000 spectators over the course of a weekend.
Donington's chief executive officer Simon Gillett said: "The submission of these plans heralds the start of a massive redevelopment project and a new era for Donington Park. It's an incredibly exciting time for everybody involved."
A decision on the plans will be taken by North West Leicestershire District Council, probably in early November.
An agreement was signed between Donington Park Leisure and motor racing body the FIA in July to stage the British Grand Prix for ten years, starting in 2010.
However, doubts have been raised about whether the plans will actually go ahead. The FIA is said to have other options.
The 2009 programme of events at Donington, including the British Motorcycle Grand Prix and the World Superbike Championship, will be unaffected by any development work.
