Defending champions come from behind in cup clash
HOLDERS Ilkeston Rutland claimed their place in the second round of the Senior Cup with a 3-2 victory over Trent Vineyard.
TV's reply came from Matt Waring and Darren Meli, who had given their side hope with a 2-1 lead before goals from Sam Dilkes, Ben Holmes and Paul Burton eventually settled the tie.
Rainworth Rangers are still nine points adrift of Premier Division leaders Old Elizabethans despite a 3-2 victory over Woodborough United. Reece Burridge netted a double for Rangers. Woodborough's reply came from Dan Mellors and Dom Lynas.
Frazer White's double for Bassingfield provided the difference between his side and Wollaton III who went down 4- 2. Rory McCardle and Dan Moorecroft netted the other two goals.

The top three in Division One all claimed victories. Leaders FC Sutton Foresters beat BAFC Vine 3-0, but Old Elizabethans II remain a point adrift despite defeating Eaton hall College 7-2.
Ashley Swain also claimed three as Mansfield Hosiery Mills, in third, widened the gap over NRU FC.
Mo Gagawara completed the scoring for Mills, while Carl Brooks (2) and Dom Brooks replied for NRU.
New Houghton Villa cemented fifth spot by hammering Wollaton IV 9-1, which leaves them in the relegation zone in place of Ashfield FC who beat Derby Deaf 5-1. Goals from Chris Heathcote (2), Matt Whitburn, Dean Guy and Danny Bircumshaw left Derby Deaf propping up the table.
A debut goal from Dean Bussey and a Lee Pinner strike proved insufficient for Ravenshead who lost 4-2 to Magdala Amateurs A.
There are new leaders in Division Two after goals from Alex Selby, Robert Smith, Grant Strickson and Sam Marshall gave Derbyshire Amateurs a 4-3 win over FC Trinity.
Sutton Travellers opened the gap at the top to three points over Trinity thanks to goals from Andrew Marshall, James Bunning and Iain Roe against Alvaston United.
Bulwell Town II climbed a place to third after pipping Ilkeston Rutland II 2-1.
Jordan Lovelock and Tom Kier got the goals, with Rob Henshaw netting Rutland's consolation.
Strikes from Lee Allison, Dan Weiss, Ben Sherratt and Ryan Martin for Rainworth Rangers II were answered by two from Nic Hodgkinson and Gareth Willems for Nottinghamshire III.
Bradley Richardson's hat-trick for Old Bemrosians proved to be the difference between the two sides when Town Mill went down 6-3.
Lee Hart's double together with a Lee Hughes strike for Mill were answered by a James Lawson double and Dale Gordon's solitary strike.
Victory at last for Ashfield II as goals from Raif Harstad, Lloyd Lacey, Matt Page and Ryan Stafford sank Southwell St Marys II 4-1.
