NOTTINGHAM Forest midfielder Paul Anderson will be out for three weeks.

Boss Billy Davies feared the winger could be out for months after damaging knee ligaments in the 1-1 draw with Norwich.

Davies said: "He should be back in three weeks and that is good news."

Fellow midfielder Garath McCleary, who is suffering from a knee problem, has had an injection and the club should know more about the length of his lay-off by the end of the week.

“how can anybody (even one person) still defend nigel "football club wrecker" doughty.
it is a fact that with doughty the club has had the worst period in their history,
11 long long years of failiure in which 3 of those were in the 3rd division.
doughty is a football failiure and nobody can argue against that fact !
what has the guy done apart from making us a mediocre lower league club ?
did he really save the club from extinction ? please name me a club in the football league that has become extinct in the past few decades ? (especially clubs the size of Forest)
What has this guy done apart from bring failiure to the club and misery to thousands of Forest fans during the last 11 years?
FOOTBALL CLUB WRECKER DOUGHTY PLEASE LEAVE ASAP,
    YOU ARE NOT WANTED !
DOUGHTY OUT MARTHUR OUT PLEAT OUT NOW !”

    “Gary Hougham,

Yeah for goodness sake let us give thanks that the Magnificent ND saved us from the fate of the likes of Cardiff City!

What a ridiculous, 'sail close to the wind' club they've proved to be.

Kept their existing squad, added to it with 5 top quality Prem loan players, wages paid predominantly by their wealthy home clubs.

Thank goodness for the prudent MD and MA.

Hang on!....it couldn't possibly be that we don't know what we're doing and the likes of Cardiff do?

    No....surely....could it?”

“pie an a pint, yeah we'd all like a billionaire to buy forest but who wants to buy a 2nd tier english club, who currently seem to have no ambition. forest are have-beens and the gap between our selves and the elite of chelsea and man utd seems t grow more and more evry season. NO one will compete with man utd or chelsea for at least another year, the only team that can is man city if they stop buying a whole new team every season.

oh well championship or premiership i'm going to every game to support the mighty garibaldi”

“Thats what ive been sayinbg Paul, Sheffield. No point we won't even fill half of it.

Gary, Hougham. So you think having Nigel "no progress " Doughty on the throne, is better than being owned by a rich foriegn investor. I don't mean some mugs like Munto Finance I mean a extremly succesful buisnessman like Roman Abromavich, the guy is so rich he doesn't even need to make profit from chelsea. He aint doing no runner leaving them in millions of pounds of debt because he doesn't borrow money off the bank. And shiekh mansour well he seems to have a bottomless pit of money, the guy spent over a billion pound before he'd even been to a game, and again his own money so he aint doing no runner either.

80% of the worlds money is owned by 4% of the worlds population, Nigel Doughty isn't in that bracket, Abramovich is. But at the end of the day this is just me babbling on about people who would never buy forest.

    BRING ON THE MILLWALL”

“Gary, Hougham - sorry mate i cant share your opinion on Doughty. The reality is he's taken us through the lowest point in our proud history. I dont care if we have a glowing credit score or if the chairman is an alien, i want what is best for our football club on the pitch and our facilities! We have stood still and it's finally hitting people we are failing, wake up and smell the coffee. We need investment on top of some great work Billy has done since he came in. We'll lose him very soon and then we'll all say we should have invested, another year down the line of what could have been's!!! There's a pattern under ND, HE'S HAPPY WHERE WE ARE, PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING!

I do agree with the Arthur comments though, please remind me who employ's him?”

“Whilst I'm disappointed at the lack of signings and investment during the closed season transfer window; I will not be demonstrating.
I disagree with how the club is run in alot of areas, but, and I know in the current scheme of things I will get roundly pilloried for saying it; I would rather have Nigel Doughty owning the club than a sheik, a Thailand business man, a russian oligarch, a Munto finance or some far eastern conglomerate!
Love him or loath him Nigel Doughty is first & foremost a Forest fan and he wants to run the club on a sound business footing. You may not like it the fact we have made no signings & I don't; but he has said he will not be held to ransom or make signings just for the sake of it.
Many on here have short memories. When Nigel Doughty took over the club we were facing extinction - FACT!
The reason we still have a club is because he saved it from going into administration or worse. He's backed the club every year with over £6 million of his own money and then gets roundly slagged off by idiots (myself included) who haven't the 1st clue about the financial situation regarding transfer fees, signing on fees, agents fees and wages.
Forest will survive, we will not get relegated and we will make signings albeit in the future.
I do however have a bigger problem with Mark Arthur. Doughty is the owner, has the money, doesn't live in the country and pays Mark Arthur as chief executive to run the club on his behalf.
Doughty sets the finances in place and sets the budget; thank you very much. At least we have one unlike Derby County!
One man alone is responsible for the running of the club and is paid well for doing so.
So the disastrous PR, the lack of any PR or coordinated press policy, the lack of communication with the fans, the terrible and worse than useless official website, the terrible catering food in the stands, the terrible catering service, the rip off that is "two new kits in one season", the loss of season ticket holder discount in the club shop, the franchising of the club shop, the lack of signings and strengthening in the team and the general lack of value and reward shown to season ticket holders & fans alike is all down to one man!

    MARK ARTHUR!”

“DOUGHTY HAS AGAIN FAILED THIS CLUB AND UNLESS HE GOES WE'LL CONTINUE TO STRUGGLE IN THE LOWER LEAGUES !
11 YEARS OF FAILIURE BY DOUGHTY CANNOT CONTINUE !
    DOUGHTY OUT NOW !
YOU HAVE DONE ENOUGH DAMAGE TO OUR CLUB !
    GO NOW DOUGHTY !”
