BILLY Davies today praised his players for equalling Brian Clough's record run of seven consecutive home wins and then challenged: "Let's get another run going away from home."

The Reds face a trip to Coventry City tonight, before visiting Doncaster on Saturday.

And, after seeing Forest remain their remarkable run of form at the City Ground with a 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, manager Davies wants to see his side get back to winning ways away.

"It is a great achievement and we can be very proud," said Davies (pictured).

"I have spoken to the players about it, because they have now also only lost one game in 21 matches, which is a phenomenal achievement.

"Hopefully, I can have as long and as successful a career as the great man himself did.

"Sheffield Wednesday was a real tough game, coming off the back of our first defeat in 20 (at Derby).

"We showed great bottle and discipline to equal that record of consecutive home wins, which we can be proud of."

Davies does not expect an easy ride at the Ricoh Arena tonight.

"We don't believe we have any easy games left," he said.

"But, if we can put together another run of games without defeat, it will help our efforts to remain up there towards the top of the table."

Davies says the fans have a big part to play.

"We have sold our 3,200 allocation of tickets tonight and a slightly bigger allocation at Doncaster," he said.

"The fans are very important because they get behind us. We have 17 games and 12 weeks to go and there is a fantastic challenge ahead of us.

"There is no complacency, nobody is getting ahead of themselves. But I have reminded the players of the great run they are on.

"This is a great position for the club to be in at this stage of the season."

Davies may restore Raddy Majewski to the starting line-up, after revealing that the midfielder had become unsettled by the failure to tie up a permanent deal for him.

"My advice to him was just to come back into the side and do what he does best, which is to be somebody who can create and score goals, to make things happen," he said.

"He has to forget about any situation off the pitch."

Despite admitting his frustrations, Davies says he remains committed to the club.

"There is not a chance in hell that I will walk away from this great challenge that we face between now and May," he said.

"I can promise the fans that, under no circumstances, is there any chance of me doing anything else than trying to drive this team forward."

“Interesting that Billy now seems to be comparing himself with "The Great man". Forest are in for a great ride if he manages to match BC's achievements.”

you know that all thease plonkers are the same sad case, sat at his keyboard all day trying to wind you and the rest of us Forest fans up.
But instead of getting upset, we should feel sorry for them.
Sat in there own soiled pants and vest, with there sweaty hands hovering over the sticky keyboard. Pot noodle pots and old copies of razzle to keep him compney.”

“3 nil to the biggest East Midlands team.

By the way Florist have been the worst team at Pride Park.

Come on you Albion and geordies.

If Florist end up in the playoffs they will bottle it.

Come on you Albion and Geordies.”

“Would any of you Florist fans mind if I get a signed Robbie picture.

It will look nice next to my Big Ron and Platty signed photos.

Has anyone got a signed picture of Joe Kinner?”

“I am happy to explain to any Florist fan what premier league parachute payments are all about.

Just worried you all had forgotten as it has been 12 years.

Also Florist there are frounds in the country where teams have a home support of over 30000.

Why do you not become a feeder club for the mighty Villa?”

“Anyway enough of keeping the inbreds amused ,back to football
I think we all need to listen to what billy has been saying all season long .There will be ups and downs and the ups have far out weighed the downs .We are still a clear 3rd in the table ,with more points than the whole of last season and with 16 games to go.We out played coventry tonight but couldnt score ,it was just one of those nights.
Lets face it who would have thought that the team with the meanest defence in the league would go to prideless park and concede 3 goals???
As Billy said in his postmatch interview there will be many twists and turns .I went on record before a ball was kicked this season and said mid table obscurity would do me fine and anything else above that would be a bonus. It would be great to go up but if we dont then the season will still have been a big step forward ..in Billy I trust..

    COME ON U REDS!!!!!!!!!!”
