The prosecution alleges he wanted revenge on Mr Parekh after being humiliated in front of his friends by him only hours earlier.

Davey, who at the time was living in Deptford Crescent, Bulwell, and the 16-year-old both deny murder.

The teenager also denies encouraging or assisting an assault on Mr Parekh and a further charge of assault occasioning actual bodily.

The case is set to resume at Lincoln Crown Court at 10am.
