A DAD threatened to smash up cars at a primary school after his five-year-old pupil son had a bracelet confiscated.

Wayne Bishop, 31, blocked the school drive with his car and told the head: "I'm going to do you over."

He had been called to Portland School in Bilborough at the end of the school day on October 2, to discuss why his son was repeatedly wearing the bracelet, which was against school rules.

Bishop lost his temper, swore at head Dora Wood in her office and told her: "I'm not sticking to the rules. My son's not sticking to the rules."

James Bide-Thomas, prosecuting at Nottingham Magistrates' Court, said his behaviour left Ms Wood feeling anxious and worried, and that there were young children present at the time.

"His shouting was getting louder and louder," Mr Bide-Thomas said.

"Ms Wood stood up and he took out his mobile phone. He waved it at her and said: 'I'm going to do you over... I'm going to smash every car in the car park.'

"He repeated the phrases a number of times before walking to the office door. He went out into the corridor and there were a number of children there. He was still swearing."

The court heard that Bishop refused to move his car, saying: "The feds won't be able to get in."

"The incident lasted for 25 minutes. Ms Wood said it has made her fear for her physical safety and worry about the children," said Mr Bide- Thomas.

When police arrived and arrested Bishop, of Stotfield Road, Bilborough, he admitted swearing and threatening to smash car windows.

He pleaded guilty to using threatening words and behaviour at an earlier court hearing.

Tim Holder, defending Bishop, said his client had five children of his own and four step-children.

"There is quite a degree of stress in ensuring the children go about their schooling," he said.

"He said he didn't go round there spoiling for an argument.

"It may be that he didn't give her chance to speak but did not get the immediate response he wanted."

Bishop claimed the head teacher refused to give him back the gold bracelet, and that he wanted to report her to police for theft.

Prosecutors said Ms Wood was going to hand back the bracelet after speaking to Bishop about his son wearing it.

District Judge Morris Cooper gave Bishop a community sentence for one year with supervision by the probation service and 100 hours of unpaid work.

He was also ordered to pay £50 in compensation to Ms Wood.

“In April he was sentenced to four months for burlgary and four months for dangerous driving after pleading guilty. He was also banned from driving for three years.

He is now appealing the decision saying he needs to care for his five children.

This man is trying to use his own children as a shield from the law.

“I dont agree with the way he went about things.
But I also have problems with the head miss wood, I spoke to her about problems my autistic son was having and was told to get transfer forms to remove my children from school!
All because she cant be bothered to resolve parents issues. The children are just numbers to her.
Shes the most rude example of a head teacher ive ever come across and I've worked in most on nottingham city schools.
I'd love to hear from any other parents, as it seems this school is a place I will not be keeping my children in!!”

“I also have problems with the head of this school and am in process of reporting the head teacher miss wood .Although I think the parent here went the wrong way about things, I do think the head of this school doesnt care about our children. They are just numbers to her. She told me to get transfer forms to remove children. All because I wanted to talk to her about problems my autistic son was having.
Would love to hear more of your stories as Its not looking like a place I will be keeping my children at!!!”

“I fully understand this man, he shouldn't have gone about it the way he did but I really do sympathise. I have just had to pull my children from that school purely down to said "head". To say she is supposed to be in charge she has a shocking attitude, god only knows how she treats our children. Our complaint has gone to the education authority she is that bad. Fully understand mate but don't be going about it that way!”

“I applaud the guy I really do. We have just had to remove our children from the school and launch a serious complaint to the education department purely down to this woman. To say she's a "head" she has a shocking attitude. I can fully understand someone really losing their temper with her! and her "deputy head" for that matter!”

“People like him should be banged up. 9 kids? What is the future for these kids with such a pathetic role model. This benefit culture should be scraped altogether. People like Wayne Bishop should be left to fend for themselves.”

    “Stephen, Licoln
There may well have been sadistic teachers when you were at school but now the balance has tipped too far and teachers seem to have almost no rights at all
For a child coming from what sounds like a no hope background, school in the old days, may have offered him some salvation as teachers were respected and held some authority
Now their hands are tied and they're (almost) at the mercy of d--kheads like this father!”

“Poor child. Imagine living with the shame of having a delinquent father like that. Hardly surprising really - what kind of trailer park trash sends his five year old to school wearing a gold bracelet?”
