HOLDERS Carlton LC were beaten in the final of the Nottingham & Notts Institutes KO Cup by a strong BCI 'E'lites team at Sherwood Social Club.

Danny Di Folco started with three successive fouls but then make a run of 35. But James Moore eventually won 74-58 for BCI, thanks to a 25 clearance.

Jason Bettridge beat Bob Walker 57-47 leaving the match score 147-131 in Carlton's favour after adjusting for the handicap.

Jon Mason knocked in breaks of 24 break and 57 as he beat Andy Ball 115-7. Bob Wright did his best to reduce the 92-point deficit, but Kwok Yip won 96-42.

BCI 'C' took the KP Plate final by 59 points against Ruddington CC at Top Spot.

Steve Capsey Snr gave BCI a flying start with a 75-26 win against Mo Hudspeth. Sean Croft beat Dennis Dyer 67-27 to put BCI 'C' now 110 points up.

Nick Kirkman managed to pull some points back against Shaun Parkinson, winning the frame 76-43.

This left Dave Griffiths knowing he had to beat Steve Capsey jnr by 78 points to win the match. He managed the win but only by 18 points.
