Cristian Montano wants Notts County fans to fall in love with him all over again
CRISTIAN Montano hopes fans of Notts County will fall in love with him all over again on his return to Meadow Lane.
The Colombian striker, 20, captured the hearts of Magpies supporters during a two-month loan from West Ham United earlier this season by scoring four goals in 12 games.

He's back: Cristian Montano
He was recalled by the Hammers in October, however.
Notts have been trying to re-sign him ever since and many of their fans pleaded with him to return on Twitter.
They have finally got their wish because he has rejoined the club on a one-month deal that could be extended until the end of the season.
Montano said he is flattered by the prolonged attempts of Notts to re-sign him and the desire of fans to see him return.
"It feels good to be wanted, very good. I'm here now and I can't wait to play for Notts again," he said.
"After leaving here before fans were messaging me on Twitter, saying 'come back Montano'. It was amazing and left me speechless.
"It was the first time I've ever experienced anything like that because I made my league debut for Notts and scored my first goal for Notts. Hopefully I can score more goals now I'm back."
Montano earned a reputation as a super substitute in his first loan spell at Notts by coming off the bench and scoring goals against League One leaders Charlton Athletic, Bournemouth and Hartlepool United.
He also scored a winning goal for Notts in a 2-1 league victory against Walsall at Meadow Lane on September 10.
"The manager was great with me when I was here at the start of the season and the supporters were amazing. I'm happy to be here again. Notts is like a family to me," he added.
"I'm hoping they will love me again this time.
"Hopefully I can prove I am a better player now."

“Great news to have such a quality player back in our squad. This guy is a good all round striker and will certainly bang the goals in for us. Scored some quality goals in his first spell.
You need players who you call upon to put the ball in the back of the net. And we all know what happens when those goals dry up!!
Onwards and upwards.
YOU PIES!!”

“Angus ... I can see why you were misled. But hey, to suggest Martin Allen did not rate him is not quite right. We were heading into the play-places back then and most of the rest of the team were doing very well. Having only just been given his debut in league football (by Martin Allen) he still had a lot to learn to start in games. He loves the club and the supporters ... his words not mine ... and again as he says, he has huge respect for Martin Allen. It's a good news story Angus, so don't worry too much about us ... and no, most Notts fans (not all) do not envy Forest. Whilst the odds are against it, because two events would need to happen, we could be swapping places (leagues) with you quite soon.”

“XBJ.. my comments were made as a response to the information provided in the article however, if Mr Montana was as you say not a first team choice and was in fact a bench warmer for may of those games only coming on for fractions of the games then one may assume this was because the manager did not rate him as highly as some of your so called fans do.”

“JC ... but it wasn't fair and it wasn't reasonable. Angus's comments were not based on facts, as my last post points out.”

“Oh dear not you too Lincolnpie?... Why do you notts fans come over as such troubled minds? Someone makes a fair and reasonable comment about whether 4 goals in 12 games in the 3rd division is anything sectacular and the only response you can muster is a dig at your neighbours whilst they are having a bad spell. You need to come of age as a club and that can only happen when your fans stop the endless envy of the Reds.
Good Night!”

“Ooooopppss Angus ! Always best to check your facts when making your type of sneering comments. To put you in the picture, Cristian Montano started in just FOUR of those twelve games, being sub in the other eight. Now you will be aware that four goals, in something more like 6 or 7 full games, is the envy of one or two teams we could name !!!”

“countytiddler.. 1 goal in 3 games works out at 15/16 in a season which is ok maybe average. 20 plus is usually the ball park figure of a decent striker.”

“Slade.. This is a notts story why are you banging on about Forest? You know nothing of playing above the two basement divisions. Deary me talk about inferiority complex, Typical notts fan!
Even if Forest scored only 1 goal in an entire season it would not aid notts. You really must learn to comment on the story in question little man!”

“Acapulcoangus
We know is not in the same league as your star striker signed from the Oregon State Beavers.
What's his scoring record 5 in 22 games. All forest strikers have a 25% scoring record or worse, will be good for you when cotterill works which 25% game to play them in, you might then at least get a few draws.
Wow what about this Elokobi, signed him because since Wes has gone needed another "Fatty" to make Reidy feel he's not alone…….”
