At the other end of the table, after two successive promotions, Keyworth say goodbye to Division A, and yet again they were on the wrong end of a close finish.
Keyworth made a below-par 138 as Balderton's acting skipper David Lynn claimed three wickets. The winners looked to be cruising thanks to an opening stand of 70 from veteran Pete Lambert (39) and Tim Clipsham (34), yet a combination of some decent spin bowling from Ian Graham (3-37) and a couple of suicidal run outs left Balderton reeling eight wickets down. Enter Lynn (18*) again who edged the home side to victory.

The champagne was kept on ice for Hucknall in Division C following a losing draw at home to rivals Hyson Green Carrington Caribs. Caribs had Mahmood Ali (70) and Zaheer Ahmed (51) in form as they totalled 227. Hucknall had a go after the interval with Robin Maxwell (68) but Ahmed (5-65) did damage as the home side settled for nine points on 171.
