County Championship: Shreck inspires Notts fightback
FOUR wickets from opening bowler Charlie Shreck dragged Notts back into their match with Sussex on the second morning at Hove.
The home side had finished day one in a commanding position on 292-5 from 96 overs, thanks in the main to 79 from Murray Goodwin.

They would have hoped to go on and gain maximum batting points with Carl Hopkinson (53 not out) still at the crease.
But Shreck had other ideas with a terrific spell that saw the south coast side dismissed before lunch.
Sussex had taken the score to 318-5, only to lose their last five wickets for just 21 runs.
Cornishman Shreck started the rush of victims by bowling Hopkinson, who finished with 62 from 176 balls.
Next to go was long-time partner Robin Martin-Jenkins (35) who was caught by Bilal Shafayat off the right-arm seamer.
Williams Beer went for a second ball duck as he was trapped lbw and James Kirtley did not last much longer before he was also bowled without scoring.
Shreck would have had high hopes of a five-for, but spinner Rob Ferley then chipped in with the final Sussex wicket, having Jason Lewry caught behind by Chris Read.
In reply, Notts had reached 9-0 at lunch to trail by 330 runs.
Former Notts loan player Mark Davies completed figures or 8-24 this morning as Durham bowled out Hampshire for 96.
