Councillors decided to accept the Government's council tax freeze grant of £63,710, equivalent to a one per cent rise. Leader Roger Blaney said: "Through efficiency and changing the way we do things, we have been able to freeze council tax levels for the last three years, without having a major impact on the excellent services we provide."
He added: "There is no doubt that further difficult choices lie ahead."
